FameLab SA and its partners are hosting science communication training followed by FameLab heats in February and March 2016

UNISA, in collaboration with Jive Media Africa are hosting the open Gauteng heat on 4 March 2016.
Semi-finals – 12 March 2016, Gauteng
Finals – 4 May 2016, Going Global conference, Cape Town International Convention Centre

The Famelab competition is for suitable students and young researchers aged between 21 and 35 years old. In summary, the 2 days will focus on the Science Communication training and Famelab competition.
1) The FameLab training session conducted by Jive Media Africa focusing on preparing participants to participate in the FameLab Heats.
2) During the FameLab Heats, participants will be given an opportunity to practice what was learned in the training
a. Delivering a well-prepared, short, three minute presentation on a science topic, as per competition requirements.
b. The winner will proceed to the Master class training and semi-final competition scheduled for 12 March 2016.
