The Kenya Chemical Society and the United States International University-Africa extend their invitation to Chemists and other Scientists in related fields to attend the 9th International KCS conference at the Auditorium, United States International University–Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. The conference will bring together Chemical Scientists and stakeholders from academia, government, research institutes and the industry to discuss ‘The Role of Chemistry in Inventing a Sustainable Future’. The conference will comprise of plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster presentations and exhibitions, which will focus on research and innovations in chemistry towards a sustainable future.
Topics to be addressed at the conference include, but are not limited to the following:
a) Application of green chemistry principles and processes in R&D and manufacturing
b) Chemometrics and Quality assurance: Chemical product inspection, Verification and Testing process
c) Chemical Safety, Security and Responsible Care (CSS & RS)
d) Material and applied chemistry (nanoscience & nanotechnology)
e) Medicinal chemistry and drug discovery R&D
f) Chemical education and outreach
g) Water chemistry
h) Petrochemicals and mineral exploration: Geochemistry i) Development of new analytical techniques for effective monitoring of products and the environment

Guidelines for submission of abstracts and papers
Abstracts must be in English, typed in 12 point Times Roman, 1.5 line spacing and with the title presented in 16 point. The abstract should not be more than 300 words and must be a Microsoft Office Word file (.doc, .docx). To download the abstract and full paper template, visit www.kenchemsoc.org. Exhibitions
Chemical Equipment Suppliers, Financial and Insurance Institutions, Agrochemicals, Publishers and Bookshops, Health Management Institutions, Chemical Manufacturers, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Medical Suppliers are invited to display their services, promotional materials, innovations and products at a fee of Kshs. 30000.00 per day thereof.
