News category: Nanoannounce
The CSIR will be hosting its 5th Conference on 8 and 9 October 2015 at the International Convection Centre, CSIR, Pretoria. The conference coincides with CSIR’s 70TH anniversary and hence it is hosted under the theme: “70 years – Ideas that Work”. Through its scientists, CSIR will share it’s scientific, engineering, technology innovations and interventions to peers and collaborators. Presentations and discussions in various areas of expertise such as energy, health, the built and natural environments, defence, security and information and communication technology will form part of the proceedings at this event.
Tours to the different research facilities of CSIR such as the Energy Storage Facility Laboratory (DST/HySA Infrastructure), National Centre for Nano-Structured Materials (DST/CSIR Nanotechnology Innovation Centre) and Biomanufacturing Industry Development Programme have been arranged. The conference will also include an exhibition component that packages and reflects the CSIR’s impact areas as well as initiatives hosted or incubated at the CSIR and science brands that closely collaborate with the organisation in the National System of Innovation.
